Capital move for TVN
Poland’s TVN is understood to be preparing to launch an information channel aimed specifically at viewers in Warsaw. Agency reports indicate that the service, which would be the first of its kind offered by a Polish commercial broadcaster, could make its debut in mid-2008. TVN already operates 12 channels, nine of which are thematic, and recently announced plans to launch a business-based 13th jointly with CNBC.
