I have a Technomate 5400 with a 300gb USB drive plugged in, it is fine for recording but there is a rogue file on there somewher taking up a lot of space.

I tried to plug it into my computer but the computer wont read this disc at all.

Anyone any suggestions what i can do ?

If you can't see the rogue file in FileManager on the TM then back-up recorded programs,on pc, and re-format using the utility on the TM.Cheers

Only that won't work because you can't see the disk on your computer to do a back-up,.I've always used the HPUSBDisk utility(you can download it from the web) with disks I can't see or format but you'll lose what's on the disk. You need to select FAT32 filesystem for the format.Cheers
