Im trying to set up my dm500 and when I do a transponder search it comes up that no transponders are found. I must be doing something fundamentally wrong as I know that the dish is correctly aligned as I just moved the coax from my TM 1500 box to my new box and 5 minutes before I was watching football on the tm using 39east but as I said when I scanned for any transponders on 39e, nothing.

I have been using my tm for over 6 years so Im not a noob but I must be doing something wrong, any help greatly apprec.

Thanks for your help and PMs but I just dont understand what you mean by satellites.xml and folder/var/etc? I just want a few particular transponders on 39e and 9e. cant i manually add them? well ive already tried but without luck. Im confused, is there a simple way?

To Scan manually some freq's ..

Menu button > (6) SetUP > Service Searching > Manual Transponder Scan
enter freq ensure correct sat is showing at top of screen
use kingofsat or lyngsat to find correct freq's
new channels should appear when you select ok and Green button
Satellite - New Found
Satellite - Services

try scan a few freq's just to ensure you do have some signal going to your dm500s clone box .
i havnt used a dm500s clones in some time because they are not a good box to work with due to very limted RAM and very slow proccessor

good luck : )
