Can only connect to HotBird. Help Please

Hi,

I have Dreambox 500s with Pli image installed. All of a sudden I can only connect to Hotbird satellite. When I try to connect to the other satellites such as Astra or Turksat I do not receive any signal. I have SG 2100 motor and all of a sudden I am having this trouble.

There are a couple of things that I tried with no luck:

1) Install another image (also tried with the original dreambox firmware).

2) Position the satellite to 0 both from the dreambox and from the reset button on the motor.

3) Used both USALS and manual turning but no luck.

Any help will be greatly appreciated :). I don't know if the problem could be from the alignment or from the dreambox itself. Thanks

Have you got a channel list or settings in your dreambox? Also the satelites.xml file in your dm? Is your dish turning? Try to download a settings list from the dreambox providers that you have in your image. I think your problem is in that. Also see your diseq settings.

Hi,

Thanks for your response. Yes I have uploaded a channel list from vhannibal and ones that I have on the image itself. Yep the dish is turning OK both to the East and West without any problems.

When you say diseq settings what do you mean exactly please? Thanks

Well as I may remember there should be some kind of setting for diseq. Also you have to manually find and store satellite positions. Make sure you have all of that set up. Did you download the channel list vhannibal motor?

Yep I have downloaded vhannibal motor settings. Usually when I try to find satellites I do it manually by few steps to the east. Afterwards I would store them and no trouble at all. I have done it couple of times but now no luck....really strange problem :S

Turn to Astra1 or intelsat 0.8w, get someone to watch the television while you tilt your dish by hand. Up, down, left right you must get the picture,
