HI ,

a few days ago after rgh my Xb360 with lpt: succesfully :D i found also my 2 years ago bricked dm800hd pvr clone with the CA ERROR!
So i took it a part with the idea to jtag it.
This becuz all other tricks didn't workout : updates with webinterface not possible, nullmodem cable with dreamup, optiflasher pro and NCF Sim2 also.
rs232 cable not working . And last but not least .The leds on the ethernet connector green and yellow both are on when i put power in the box.
Now what i need to know is :

1- the location of pin 1 on the tjag connector located behind the ethenet connector
2-what program to use for flashing thru Lpt:
3-can i flash a complete image.nfi ? cuz second_stage bootloader is not enough becuz of the defective ethernet connection ?
4 and is this the right format for flashing ?

It's quitte a list but the priority goes out to the pinout of the jtag connector.

Thx in advance.

do you still have the sim, you might be able to get rid of the NO CA ERROR with the correct bootloader and image

Yep its a 2.01 and the last i remember seeing was a red with blue sim2 logo and something with #84 in the display.

But my prob is i cant use the ethernet port and the serial port. Guess they're broken.
Thats why i need to now the location of pin nr. 1 on the jtag connector so i can flash it with the wiggler jtag cable. Cuz if one is put the cable upside down onto the jtag connector
i believe it could destroy the hardware becuz of the vcc3.3 voltage on pin 14.

Tnx for the above ** .but i know the pinout of the connector.
The problem is .. If i face the connector looking from the backside of the DM800
where starts pin 1 ? Is it on the left..front row or back row. or is it on the right ...front row or back row.

starting with that knowledge i can build/rebuild my lpt: cable for connecting it up to de paralel port on my pc.

Update!!!
It seems that i have to replace the max3232 chip placed on location U17. bcuz both leds
(green+yellow) on the ethernet connector goes on when i put in de powercable.
Today i did order 3 chips for just 0,99$ in chinatown :p and just have to wait for arival.

So, will be continued....

Finally, today my soIC's arrived.
I already had desoldered my (Defective) ethernet IC on place U17.
So today 18-12-2014 all i had to do was just solder the IC in place. So i did :D
After doing the job i powered the motherboard and noticed the ethernet port had
no longer both leds on.. So this problem is solved..

After that i used Optiflasher to flash a nice new Secondstage bootloader into my box.
and used my browser for flashing an updated OpenPLI image.

Now i'm a happy owner of an self repared 800hd PVR box . And that for just 0,99$ and a
lot of waiting for the soIC max3232cse.:thum:
