Got the starsat sr-x3 pro working with 3.6.1 you have to use 3.5.9 first as that’s what upgrades the android version before you can lift off with 3.6.1 if you don’t do this in order then boot loop.

Ha nightmare well they’ve withdrawn the software but now found a different way to annoy me on load so I thought aah ok they changed it so I tried again and low and behold it’s now boot looping again I’ll try the procedure again to get it back to 3.5.8 Starsat just a joke

It’s working now well I lost all the channels but at least the box is booting on 3.58 many thanks for the instructions and rescuing my box gentleman really appreciate it :-D Of course it’s asking me to update to 3.6.1 I definitely won’t be doing that

Hi just to confirm the folder should be called RomUpdate.bin or just RomUpdate I’ll try again with old 3.5.8 as 3.6.1 is no where to be seen on the download sites.

nightmare nothing online for this i seen a few people also running into the same issue, so lesson learnt not use net updates and always wait a few days after.

I tried renaming the software I was running 3.58 to RomUpdate.bin but it made no difference still boot looping! Maybe I have to wait for 3.61 to turn up on the websites ? Does the file need to be called RomUpdate.bin?

Well I used the net option and it had an update for starsat sr-x3 pro but now it’s gone into a boot loop what do I do now ?

This receiver though don’t I have to buy something else like a licensed demodulator from novelsat, how is it supposed to work?

Someone needs to book a cruise take the receiver figure out how this works book the same cruise and put the receiver back where you found it.

so if you work for them do you get a receiver to take home and plug in your motorised dish? unfortunately based on this thread alone, there is no chance with our laptops and cuda cards to break this one...
