4:2:2 content crashing ViX and receiver

Hello - just to confirm, I had zero problems recording and network streaming this evening's Eurovision feed using OpenViX 6.4.011, so I'd definitely recommend it to you. Even the output resolution is set to 3840x2160p for my 4K TV which didn't trouble it either! 🙂

BBC Satback Package has Launched on Telstar 12 Vantage @ 15°west

Just thought I'd post a UK reception report for BBC Satback, seeing as my motorised 80cm dish has currently gotten itself stuck at 15w! Might be if some use to someone? Using a FreeSat (now know as GT Media) V7, I have a stable 80% signal (the maximum it ever gets to on any satellite it 85% for...

4:2:2 content crashing ViX and receiver

I've been using the 6.4.011 Open ViX firmware for a good few months now, and everything seems to be stable, even when streaming to my computer across the network with VLC Media player, whilst recording to an external HDD. Previously it used to crash after an hour or two. I see there's actually a...

    Buying a dish in Spain

Is that the footprint for the 28.2e spotbeam? The signal level/dish size seem very generous for Spain and I'm a bit confused that the image says Intelsat rather than Astra?

BBC Satback Package has Launched on Telstar 12 Vantage @ 15°west

Just been messing around with an old dish and Freesat (GTMedia) receiver and noticed that when blind scanning, the channels now scan in on 15w. UTV seems to scan in without showing an encryption flag, oddly. The channels at 27.5 still don't show up when scanning.

Freeview (BBC Satback of Terrestrial MX PSB1 & 3) Biss @ 27.5°W *Chat Only No Keys*

Not sure if this is the correct thread as the posts in the 15w one haven't yet moved into the Encryptions chat, but I'm still struggling to get 15w working as 27.5w. As the instructions in a post said said, I scanned in the 15w transponder, then edited the bits after "p:" for each channel in...

I tried that with a couple of channels to test, but no joy, sadly. Definitely think that the blind scan isn't pulling in the correct PID details. The same thing used to happen for me at 27.5w, until I used the ciefp settings. What's strange with that, is that they actually seem to have a...

Freeview (BBC Satback of Terrestrial MX PSB1 & 3) Biss @ 27.5°W *Chat Only No Keys*

Does anybody know if the ciefp motor settings will likely be updated to include the 15w channels? That's the only way I managed to get 27.5w to work. I've just tried a blind scan on 15w, but neither the 00 or the 80 key seems to work for me on the scanned channels, so I guess it's some kind of...

Freeview (BBC Satback of Terrestrial MX PSB1 & 3) Biss @ 27.5°W *Chat Only No Keys*

I've manged to get constant.cw working by using 1000 as the PMT PIDs, and the Service IDs listed on the ciefpsettings for 27.5w link (such as 4484 for BBC One HD and 4440 for BBC Two HD. Great to finally get them, but sounds like the migration to 15w is going to make it all pointless, which is a...

Thanks Dave. I've never used ciefp settings before, but have found a github page which sounds like it's the thing that you describe. It says it was updated 4 days ago and is called "ciefp-E2-motor-75E-34W". Where do I need to copy that? Thanks lz405. I've downloaded that. What would I need to...
