I'm playing around with CSA Rainbow and had a few questions and wanted to make sure that I understand what's going on with the project. Basically the project is dead, but you can still download the chain files for both versions.
Version two is a bit faster than version one. Version one finds more CW's than version two.
You can not make any chains in version two for version two as those chains wont be accepted due to them not being in the chainauthor.map
You can make B8hx00h chains in version two but they will only work in version one.
Version one you can make all chains depending on what software version of version one you use. These can only be made in version one.
I was looking at using my GTX 1070 to manually build chains versus having a large download. In CSA it shows that the cores on my 1070 is -15, versus other cards where it lists cores in the positive. Any idea if that is accurate. The 1070 isnt as fast as you would think, and I am wondering if maybe it's an issue with Cuda. I'm on the latest driver from Nividia.
So far what I have posted, is that accurate?
