Dear Hajj 3,
Looks as though you have just gone through the stage that
I am at to get my CI slot working on my 9000HD.
Could you kindly confirm this procedure ( I'm on the latest 1.8Sifteam image).
1. Ensure box is on the net.Once I plug in the ethernet cable to my router, how do I verify this ?
2. Go to menu, plug ins ( all blank for the moment)
3. Press red button
4. Box tried to connect to SIFteam (my box just hangs on this, thens goes into Panic when I press Exit)
Could you outline the steps necesary after this to get both CI slots working, then how to get keys in here.I want to get my local cable service using my subscription card ( SECA 1/2):thum:
Appreciated

ocaklilar 22-10-2008, 04:37 PM This is for 9000, but may be the same also for 900
Menu > Plug-in
Select Sif_Install.plugin
Goto the next page and find the following items:
mgcamd-1.30d.online
mgcamd-1.30d-newcs-1.61.online
install both of them one by one
after both installations completed
select Sif_Setcam.plugin
select mgcamd-1.30d-newcs-1.61 and press red button to make it default
see the message at the top of the screen says that
Default EMU is: mgcamd-1.30d-newcs-1.61
press green button to start cam
This was the way that I could make the bottom card module to work (I didn't try the upper one)
Hope this helps.
Thanks indeed Ocaklilar,
My experience with the 9000HD over the last two weeks has
been like 'pulling teeth'. But I take it one day at a time.
I guess Bill Gates has removed a part of my brain!
Could I just clear up a few points,
Menu > Plug-in
Select Sif_Install.plugin
Goto the next page and find the following items:
OK SO FAR. I GUESS THE NEXT PAGE IS BY PRESSING OK, BUT I CANNOT GET TO THE STAGE BELOW. IP BOX IS CONNECTED ON LAN (WORKED WHEN I FIRST DID A NETWORK UPDATE). IP SETTING IS ON AUTO DHCP, ROUTER INDICATES CONNECTION BETWEEN BOX. AM I OVERLOOKING SOMETHING OBVIOUS?
mgcamd-1.30d.online
mgcamd-1.30d-newcs-1.61.online
install both of them one by one
after both installations completed
select Sif_Setcam.plugin
select mgcamd-1.30d-newcs-1.61 and press red button to make it default see the message at the top of the screen says that Default EMU is: mgcamd-1.30d-newcs-1.61 press green button to start cam
DO I NEED TO LOAD KEYS AT THIS STAGE OR ARE THEY IN THE MGCAMD PLUG INS?
Many thanks
TerD
ocaklilar 23-10-2008, 10:34 AM Plug-ins spread at least on two pages. So, to go to the next page, use down arrow key. (Page-down could also work but I did not try.) While pressing down arrow cay you'll see that different plug-ins is selected (a thin drawn box around them)
I didn't load any keys. Only those steps were enough to make my card to work.
Note: I am having to repeat those steps after every firmware update.
Thanks again for your support,
It was a network issue (my router had not allocated an IP address to the IBOX, so starting and restarting solved this). I found the CAM scripts and activated them. Now I just need to see if my cable network will work on the box using my subscription card ( face down I understand from previous posts).

Yes, chip side down.
Ghooler 07-11-2008, 06:55 PM Hi,
Is there a way to install cams manually from the PC on sifteam images ???
I guess there is but I don't see why you would need to
do this if you can use the automated network system in sifteam.
Mine works fine on my cable network ( I still have no idea how)
