IP900 external hard drive support

is anyone recording live video onto an eSATA or USB drive using a IP900 succesfully??

Yes, since yesterday I'm using a Samsung 2.5 160G SATA (not sata-2)HDD in an external enclosure and using SATA-ESATA cable and for the moment works OK.

I'm using a Medion 3.5 500GB, with a E-SATA cable, and everything works 100%.

I've a 9000D - no E-Sata output but E-Sata plug inside the box. My ext HDD gave me a few extra cables - could I just run the cable outside the Box to the Ext HDD?

I use 2.5" Samsung 80gb with e-sata different adapters and hdd is powered via usb port.
Surprisily I can record 2 channel at one time and watch third

Hi,Wirx

Which IP Box do you have and which image?
I installed the option USB plug in from Sifteam
and when the 9000D boots with the external HD on
it locks onto a single channel. The drive goes into
some external activity. So I'm trying to find out
whether this is a one off disk formatting process.

Any help or suggestions much appreciated.
