France: half 3G iPhone users have 2G version

iphone3g.jpgHalf of the customers of the new third-generation version of Apple’s iPhone in France already owned the previous version, according to operator Orange.
Orange announced it had already sold 116,000 3G iPhones since the new model’s release in France in mid-July. It took five months for the previous version of Apple’s mobile phone to pass the 100,000 mark.
The new iPhone is offered at a more attractive price, €149 against €399 for the first one.
