Is it possible to use a Dreambox as a media centre?

Rather than investing in a toy from here: _www.audiofi.co.uk/

is there any way/ sotfware/ plugins that can be used to allow the Dreambox to play music from a PC? I don't just mean MP3, but .wav, .ogg or .flac? A winamp plugin (similar to vlc) would be great as that plays all formats on the pc.

I hope this can help, how to on streaming from winamp to dreambox. Requires shoutcaster plugin on dreambox.

Got everything installed and working on the PC.

Installed dreamnetcast on Dreambox and edited "stations.xml" with this:

<entry Playstring="http://10.0.0.9:9000/listen.pls">
<Name>10.0.0.9</Name>
<Genre>musick</Genre>
<Nowplaying>music</Nowplaying>
<Listeners>1</Listeners>
<Bitrate>256</Bitrate>
</entry>

(where 9000 is the port I use) and it all works fine now :)

Open up DreamnetCast, select the channel above and it plays music from winamp on my PC.
