Any Tips about memory????

that's the PROBLEM, i have a db 500 s with gemini image and i download all cam and keys bundle and finally the memory full up to 95%. do you have a tips????
can you help me, :confused: :confused: :eek:

You can try this and mount your pc hd:

But you must have too much unnecessary things on your dream to have 95% taken. All you need is one emu and couple of key files. You don't have to load complete key bundle. One emu only needs 2-3 additional files. Key bundles are too big and not need to be on dreambox in full form. You only take key files from it your emu uses and upload them. And remove any addons,plugins or script you don't use.

You could also try a gemini maxvar image that will give you more memory, but it needs to be installed with a null modem cable.

I use gemini image in var form but i have not enough memory, the problem is i don't know what's folder must to preserve.

It's possible to use a usb memory?????? with mix cable (usb-------Rs232).
Or it's possible to mount A Hard disk into the dreambox 500 dm ??????

You have to preserve all folders. Its only in var keys that you leave only the key files you need. As Rock said if you use a max var image and 2 emus you should have space. Try installing image again from scratch.

If you have 500 you should know it has no USB port and there is no other connector except for ftp and null modem cable. Use nfs as Rock suggested

Normally for anyone who use two cams ( For example Camd3, and evocam)with full keys, how much space does it has? (in "%" pls)

I have a 500s and i only use 2 cams , Camd3 and Mgcam and updating with satan´s key bundle because i´m zapping 3 sat´s , the /var size in use can go from 48% to 54% depending on the key´s size , all on Gemini maxvar .

Hi papillon125 when you download satans keys just ftp the keys you need not the whole bundle around 78% should be fine, but NFS running on your pc would be a better sugestion, you can have as many images cams and keys etc without any probs.
