How to watch HD movies on DM800?

I had several receivers. Not yet th DM 800 HD

In all the receivers I made this:

1º- You must have an extern HDD 300Gb., etc.
2º- In my case I chosse external HDD with power and USB 2.0
3º- As I know you cannot do that because th DM 800 HD only
work with extern eSATA
4º- You make some record in th HDD.
5º- Then you send them to a usb stick and put in the
computer.you must know what type of record it makes,
LIKE TS, TRP, VOB, MPEG4, mpg, etc,
6º- If they are VOB, MPG, it is simple, only convert them to
the file you want, for example TS.
7º- If they are TRP, its more difucult. You must have two files
to convert them.
8º -After convert them, throught the USB 2.0 in the computer
you send them to the HDD.
9º- That is all.With the comand you control the HDD and see
everything you put in it and see in the TV.
10- This operation is not simple. For any type of FILE TS, VOB,
Etc. you must have the software to convert to the file you
want. As I said almost every tipe of file is simple. The
worst is the TRP file.

I have instaled VLC media player (version 1.0.0 from 2008.09.27) on PC and VLC player 2.6 on DB 800.

When I start movie in DB it opens it, but resolution is something like VGA 640x480 far from HD picture

May be some can help me?

easy, copy remuxed movie (like mkv/ts) to your dm800 and watch with media player implemented in image
to remux you need tsmuxer 1.8.8 and eac3to :thum::clapping:
