Nope. Popcorn hour is sigma designs chip 8635. DM800 is broadcom. But i'm sure this broadcom is able to handle x.264 codec.

Malo smo se opet igrali sa dreamom pa evo prenosim doživljaje i vama - dakle dream bez ikakvih konverzija playa mkv datoteke.
Pošto je mkv samo konteiner u koji može ići razne vrste kompresije uključujući i divx ne ide sve nego ono što dream može obraditi a kao h.264 a toga ima dooosta po netu
Pošto je sve ovo testno uključujući i fileove ja sam najprije napravio backup gemini imagea pa ga malo preimenovao i onda taj backup opet digao na stick (ako će te se igrati predlažem tako i vama).Sve je ovo testno ali kako čujem sve ovo je implementirano u CVS image tako da će ovo biti u budućim našim imageima tipa gemini itd... :thumbsup:
Također na geminiju ne radi izbor audia ako ih ima više a što bi trebalo raditi na novim cvs imageima pa možda i izbor titla.
Znači da bi dobili mogućnost playanja mkv datoteka potrebno je instalirati određene fieove a koje dajem i u privitku.
Znači ftp u tmp pa instal preko telneta ili preko blue panela kako sam ja napravio

Najprije sam instalirao libxml i libgstapp fileove pa onda plugine (instalirajte po spisku kako odprilike sam i napisao) te pratite ako vam koji file javi kakvu grešku treba ponoviti install.
Odmah nakon instala nije mi tio čitati filmove pa sam mislo da neće raditi i pokušao sam instalirati druge image pa sam čak bio i odustao ali nakon reboota sve je proradilo :smilie103: .
Problem jedino može bit što sliku razvuče preko cijelog ekrana (znači otkine crne trake koje bi trebale ostati)
Am i wrong? He said DM800 played mkv videos.
Could u be more specific please?
Don't u need any plugins or any other files to install in order to play mkv?

What settings do u apply to tsMuxer to convert mkv files,what is the output format - tsmuxing,M2TS muxing or demux?

I post here a tool:
called idc changer and changes the level directly in mkv without reencode or remux etc.
works for most files.
If that not work than you should look with
tsmuxer to demux then change 264 file with h264info to 4.1 and then again mkvmerge mux.

I use ffmpeg (http://www.ffmpeg.org/) to create .mkv files which are directly viewable in DM800 and/or on PC (at least in GNU/Linux-based operating systems):
ffmpeg -deinterlace -y -i "<input_file_name>" -f matroska -acodec ac3 -ac 2 -ar 48000 -ab 128k -vcodec libx264 -level 41 -r 25 -aspect 4:3 -coder 1 -g 250 -b 1024k -bt 1024k -bf 16 "<output_file_name.mkv>"
Of course, you can other ffmpeg options, such as -threads 2, -flags +loop, etc. to improve the quality of MPEG-4 (H.264) video.
For MAC OS X, I think there is ffmpegX (http://ffmpegx.com/), you can try that.

Hi Guys, I can play .MKV files with the DM800 internal Mediaplayer without any problems. No need to tsmuxing at all. But the problem I have are the subtitles. The player can read .SRT subtitles. But when i try to open Cyrillic subtitles, it shows me unreadbale symbols... The .SRT subs are saved in ASCI format. I tried to convert them to UDF-8 and Unicode, but the mediapplayer does not recognize them.. If there is an option to show Cyrillic subtitles with mediaplayer on DM800 /Gemini 4.0?
Nabilo is playing MKV files as well. 1080p is ONLY Blue-Ray/HDDVD moveis! MKV movies cannot be 1080p! (only 1080i)

bilgisayarın hızına göre ( core 2 duo 1.8 3gb ram ) 15 dakika içerisinde sesi DTS den AC3'e çevirmektedir.
bunun yanı sıra ortalama 1.5 saat de de videonun hiçbir özelliğini değiştirmeden avi (xvid, divx)'den mkv formatına dönüştürmektedir.
