What is needed to change/create a firmware for nb501?

I agree with you that is necessary to make change in our firmware but I not shore that is possible without NEOTION firm help. Because for making new firmware you need cod and scrip of software and lot of knowledge and there is just five people in the world who is able to help you.

Creating a new firmware is an utopical ideia..i´m just exploring some ideas...
-the processor STI5518BQC, is used in many receivers (most common in american Pansat 2500)
-Ram ISSI IS42S16400B-7T, is used in some Wireless Linksys router´s
-EEPROM FLASH s29al016m90Ta101 (from Spansion), the only information i can find is from a "Media Center" device called Mediagate MG-35, and this one have a custom firmware...
Supposing that we pick up a firmware from a receiver that uses STI5518BQC, and having the commands for the FLASH, is not possible to get anything?
