ID SOFTWARE has announced that it is hiring developers to build a new version of Doom 4.
While many people would love to see another version of Doom, with the latest range of 3D graphics many punters would be wondering where the plot will go.
The Doom 3 expansion, Resurrection, had a pretty final ending so it will mean the script writers will have to pull out a really interesting plot device to get the guns firing again.
Details of the project are fairly sketchy. There is no indication how long it will be before it gets in the shops or what it is going to look like. Chances are it will stretch systems to their limits
