Toshiba CV series LCD TV's now in the UK

Replacing their 'C' series of LCD TV's, the new 'CV' series of entry level screens from Toshiba is available now in the UK.
With dynamic contrast ratios of 17,000:1, 15,000:1 and 30,000:1 respectively, the 42in, 37in and 32in screens share a 1,366x768 resolution along with 3 HDMI inputs.
The new screens feature Toshiba's 'lumasens' technology which has been designed to adjust the LCD backlight depending on the prevailing lighting conditions of your room. The backlight actually becomes dimmer in darker rooms, to increase black levels and contrast. Brighter rooms will see the backlight become brighter, to make the picture more easily visible. The energy saving side effect is that in darker rooms you'll save electricity, because less power is required for the backlight.
Along with all of Toshiba's new LCD TV's this year, an energy saving element, full power down mode, reduces the TV's power consumption to zero.
Toshiba's high end ZF range featuring an ultra slim bezel and 100Hz modes for smoother motion is due to arrive on these shores this summer.
