For those of you who are not too concerned with having one of the most stylish pieces of audio visual kit out there, LG have introduced their LG5000 series of LCD TV's which sits just below their ultra stylish LG6000 line.
The LG5000 retains a Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution but gets the 'LG XD Engine' image processing circuitry rather than the latest 'LG XD engine Full HD' found on the LG6000.
The LG5000 series loses one HDMI input (down to 3, v1.3) and the USB 2.0 port. Elsewhere, the LG5000 shares a similar spec to the LG6000 with a 15,000:1 contrast ratio and 10 bit screens. 'Intelligent sensor' adjusts the panels brightness and colour depending on the prevailing lighting conditions in your room. 'Clear Voice' technology has been designed to enhance the sound frequency range of on-screen dialogue even when background noise increases.
With a larger range of sizes, the LG5000 series is available now in the UK in 32in, 37in, 42in, 47in and 52in varieties.
