Hello guys,
what is the best linux version for the playstation 3 and where can i get it (a private answer would be nice if this is breaking some site's rule)

I don't know if it is the best but Yellow Dog Linux by Terra Soft Solutions is sort of official linux distro for play station. Although others can work on it too.

thank you man, i am curious about something, about the blu ray dvd, is linux able to cancel the region protection of the playstation or it is a hardware issue?

It can be either hardware or software mod. Afaik there is no solution so far for region issue on ps3. But ps3 games are all region free, and some movies are also region free, so the best thing is to just look for those.
