W4000 LCD TV Series

:nana:
Following their philosophy of subtle yet noticeable design changes, it looks like Sony have scored another hit, stylistically at least, with their new W4000 series of LCD TV's.

Sony's new screens arrive in 32in, 40in, 46in and 52in sizes, are all Full HD 1080p (1920 x 1080) with 24fps handling along with x.v.Colour compatibility. Sony's next generation Bravia Engine 2 will handle picture processing although the finer details of what it brings to the W4000 range is not yet known.

Picture Frame mode allows the W4000 series to act as electronic 'picture frames' when not in use, scrolling through pre-installed images or taking photos from an onboard USB.

Apart from the 32in models the new screens feature 10-bit panels along with Sony's Wide Colour Gamut.

The new screens are due to arrive on these shores early summer with no news as yet on prices. If you can't wait for the W4000 series, Sony have built a solid, if not outstanding reputation with their W3000 line of LCD TV's.
