UK consumers can now get their hands on one of LG's visually stunning 42in or 50in LG6000 Plasma screens.
With an innovative 'frameless' design, the new Plasmas from LG offer a viewing platform that raises the stakes not only stylistically but also for viewing experience. Pictures seem to come alive on the 'pane of glass' screen, unencumbered by the restrictive influence of a raised frame.
The PG6000 Plasmas also have the specs to back up the style. LG's latest Dual XD picture processing Engine comes with 100Hz capability along with a 30,000:1 contrast ratio and 4 HDMI(v1.3) inputs. There is also a USB port and an invisible speaker system which is incorporated into the bezel of the unit. The new range of Plasmas also come with THX Display certification.
The PG6000 is joined by the PG3000 series which has a lower 20,000:1 contrast ratio and comes without the innovative 'pane of glass' design. They have 3 HDMI (v1.3) inputs and the USB port is for software upgrades only (rather than mpeg display etc).
