Andrea Ambrogetti has been named as the new president of DGTVi, the Italian association for the development and promotion of digital terrestrial television.
Ambrogetti, who is director of institutional relations at Mediaset, will become the head of the association, whose members include Rai, Mediaset, Telecom Italia Media, Dfree- Sportitalia, Frt and Aeranti-Corallo, effectively representing all of the national and local TV operators in Italy. He will replace Piero De Chiara, who headed DGTVi for the past two years.
Egidio Viggiani, from Dfree-SportItalia, was confirmed as general secretary of DGTVi.
