I am afraid there is nothing you can do unless you invest in a good cam.
Last official Echostar s/w release was vers. 1100 and that was, I think nearly a couple of years ago.

There were some models of the 2200(without viaccess embedded) that had a matrix cam fitted in place of the viaccess embedded. This was not an official version but an aftermarket alteration by some dealers to compete with recievers with embedded emulators.

You can use your Kid cam. I answered to your other question in MM section.

I have an Echostar 2200,2 CI too with matrix reloaded cam,it's dead for a long time,I put it in my museum of old things
