Im keen to watch the italian stuff (plus whatever else is out there).

Ive been recommended a gagabit quad or an akimo alien.

Any recommendations out there in terms of nice boxes with good support.

Also, what options do i have to run the motor on my old 1m gregorian dish?

All depends what you want from the receiver, we most surely wouldn't recommend the above which is just a Chinese counterfeit with no warranty and most likely guarantee...

But we've got masses of choice on genuine receivers with real guarantee and a genuine VAT receipt! Rather than just pluck any receivers out the air it's probably best to decide what you really want from the receiver, driving a motor should be fine on most anything we have, they all support DiSEqC 1.2 and USALS, they all have good support so it's narrowing it down a little more by saying:

Do you want/need to be able to record from one channel while watching another?
If there a specific provider you generally use this to watch?
Do you want/need a 7 day EPG?

Those few things should help narrow it down to what's the right choice for you, in the mean time you can take a browse of our website at www.sat-shop.co.uk to get a feel for what's available.

im really looking at getting the italian channels, plus any other english speaking.

I was actually recommended the akimo from lavatronics ;)

As im not up to date with the latest offerings, im assuming that the retail phone line will be able to advise?

also, any canadian channels available?
