TVV card & CCam problem

Hi,

It's first time that I'm configuring CCcam server and I'm a bit stuck.

Current config
  • Vu+ Solo
  • VIX 2.0
  • CCcam 2.2.1 with default config(only changed the port nr.).
  • ASTON SECA DUAL 1.07 CI MODULE 2.25 inserted in top CI slot.
  • Activated TV Vlaanderen card placed in Aston Seca module. I'm able to watch the encrypted channels, so I'm sure the activation is ok.

Problem
In CCcam Info, under "8 Entitlements" section I get the following error:
Code:
card reader /dev/sci0
no or unknown card inserted
So, it seems to me that there is something wrong :)

I looked under /dev and I don't see "/dev/sci0" file... So this is the first thing that might be wrong. Should I have /dev/sci0 ?

I have attached the output of cccam, it perhaps contains some relevant data:

Code:
root@vusolo:/usr/softcams# ./CCcam.2.2.1 -d

not sure on this: card should be in cardreader and not in CI module? Don't think you can read card thru ci cam.
Need to check what cardreader is used? could be something like
SERIAL READER : /dev/usb/tts/0 smartreader+
SERIAL READER : /dev/ttyUSB0 smartreader+
SERIAL READER : ...
check for your model and image used: could be different
ps. is card not upside down in card reader?

Hi Jan,

It never occurred to me that the subscription card can't be read through CI module. I will look into that.

The card is inserted correctly, otherwise I couldn't view encrypted channels.

After inserting the card into the internal card reader, the CCCam just recognized it and it works... Really easy to setup, once you know where to insert the card :)
