OScam BSkyB 0963 strange behaviour

I've an Ubuntu server with Smargos and OScam. Starting OScam manually "OScam &" ends up in an error message "0963 .... New BSkyB ..... System not supported" ...... but (not changing anything and) starting OScam using "OScam -d63 &" the BSkyB card is recognised correctly and runníng faultless.
? Any suggestions to get it running without startung in debug mode ?

No, same with -b, card not recognised, still -d63 does the job
