hello ,

I have just installed HDD inside the Azbox , i have 2 partition - one linux (formatted by Azbox) second one NTFS from Windows.
linux one is use for PRV and timeshift , NTFS - i am keeping there some movies. Linux partition is working well i guess because time shift is working but NTFS partition is not visible at list i can not find data stored there. when I had this HDD drive connected thru USB was no issue i could find ntfs data as USB1 in file manager and options like movies now i can not or i don’t know where is the data I need to add that HDD is visible perfectly in Samba settings (2 partitions)
so where can i find data ? is it hided somewhere or is there some issue?

Maybe you shuld know external HDD (USB) must be formated only with 1 (one) partition because second not visible.

@digital.ser
i am sorry but i didn't get it , when i had this drive connected to Azbox thru USB i saw 2 partitions and i could use them without issues. Once I put drive into Azbox i can have only one partition ? Take please into account that I am talking about the same drive different is only connection to Azbox. Again when I put drive inside Azbox I don’t know how to find /access the data..:(

have connected 1TB external with more than one partition and is working fine... so this statement is not correct (for external HDD).

hi ,
unfortunately until now no clear feedback so let me ask question in another way:
is there possibility to mount/install ntfs partition on azbox ? if so can you please let me know how to do it(which command use) ?

below is what I got thru command: cat /proc/partitions
hdb1 - linux partition no issue
hdb2 - ntfs - but not visible on Azbox

MMP[~]$ cat /proc/partitions
major minor #blocks name

3 0 250880 hda
3 1 139263 hda1
3 2 16384 hda2
3 3 8192 hda3
3 4 87040 hda4
3 64 488386584 hdb
3 65 204796588 hdb1
3 66 283587412 hdb2
31 0 8192 mtdblock0
31 1 128 mtdblock1
31 2 128 mtdblock2
31 3 256 mtdblock3
31 4 6656 mtdblock4
31 5 1024 mtdblock5

Think your problem might be the timeshift function

I turned it on and the box played up
had to turn it off
i have a 500GB internal formated Linux
some problems uploading large files to the movie directory too

Its simple to do ...
I had the same problem ...
And I did this ...

First connect to Azbox by telnet ...
then ...

mkdir /mnt/windows

and then ...

mount /dev/hdb2 /mnt/windows -t ntfs -r

now you can acess the second partition thru FTP ...

mnt/windows
