Windows not detect usb serial adaptor

i bought new usb serial adaptor to connect with rs232 for my receiver. After installing program to my computer i plugged the adaptor but windows not detect. i tried to run program for my receiver thru pc but not working. i installed in windows xp is working perfectly but in windows vista no. Any idea for this problem?

i need some help from this forum. thanks

Hello first then uninstall the driver that you installed the PC reboots .. Windows vista must first install drivers after you've finished installation
Wait a few Minto and converted after connecting usb cable and tends to install so that the port COM4

I did what you say, i uninstall the program and reboot my pc then i install again but for installing driver not appear even after waiting for 5 mnt. i don't know why its happen so any other way to make it work?
