Nice to see that i have found a forum to speak about openbox X-800

Last week, i have "scrambled channel"

I don t really know which version i have used before (it was one of February 08, I think the Openbox_X800_5.26)

I upgrade the last new version.

I am now in 5.35 of 06/10/08 (Openbox_X800_5.35_20080610)

The openbox worked for 2 min and after a lot of freeze and again "scrambled channel"

Which version work and where we can find it ?

Hello everyone. I live in Argentina and have an X-800 working with firmware version 5.37. I'm want to connect to 61w for southamerica footprint. I have the right keys (I believe) but when I put them on the nagra menu they seem not work. Do you know what i'm doing wrong?. it's something to do with the vplug in the new version?

I got openbox 820 on my phoenix apollo, i'm trying to get sex on tv diamond and gold to work but just get the scrambled logo :o(. The keys appear to be in the BISS section, but not complete compared to the codes released.The codes are already in the downloaded key file but there not complete compared to the released codes for those channels. There only 6 blocks long instead of the usual 8 and key1 is the same as key2.

Could somebody explain what BISS keys are and why they are 6 blocks and not 8 and both the same in key1 and key2 and why the third block is missing from the sequence.

VIDEO-key and AUDIO-key in OPENBOX - are identical.
From a key which it is had (8 blocks) we deleted 4-th and 8-th blocks.
- have:

- enter:

- do active, having pressed OK.
- are on the channel which we wish to see.

I'm completely confused, do i put it in via or ird, or BISS,i know via starts with 0500 and irdeto with 0628 but where does it all go if it does at all.

In via i have options for ID and SA but there only in the format xx xx xx in all instances. In the following, which is which

And from what you said, do any of the examples for the above keys apply. for example, the keys given for via and ird are the same but consist of 16 blocks, in the biss section for openbox it appears that only the first 8 block minus the two blocks removed are used for both key1 and key2. How does that actually work, with the last half of the key missing and two blocks from the first 8 blocks missing.

But in all the openbox key update files, they state that these two channels are working, but not for me on my phoenix apollo, has any body out there actually got these two channels to work on this receiver :o(

how do i connect openbox x-800 to pc via rs232 cables

via null modem cable u can connect ur stb to pc...

And for downloaded software to reciever - special program!

is there a documentation or threat where i can understand how to insert keys (TPS.bin, and others) into my OpenBox 810 ?
I use POBEdit 0.922 but i'm not sure to do each step correctly.

1. i flashed my OpenBox X-810 to firmware v5.41 using all updater v1.00

2. i open keys v5.41 with POBEdit 0.922 -> menu Keys -> open -> load f3k file

3. i clicked on Load TPS and select the TPS.bin file.

4. save this "updated" version of keys under another filename (as backup)

5. setup my OpenBox on "receive database" and click on SEND from POBEdit.

is it correct ?

hi guys i have cnverted openbox x820 & s/w 5.41 but cant seem to load pobbit 922 to update keys evertime i click send it shows r100 on display so i then connect to tv & all sat's are deleted & no keys are inputed how long do you wait for update & does it show as done on computer or sat display i cant have sat connected to tv as computer is far away from tv anyone can help

store some channels on receiver first, then in pobedit receive first, add keys, then send back good luk

New to this need keys for telstar 18. Just bought an open box x810 with no manual, can anyone help.

Telstar 18 located at 138°e covers asian continent, it's not receivable here in europe. I'm not familiar with Telstar 18 providers but i could suppose you can only get clear Dimsum TV crypted in biss (key available in net) and maybe Hkc (N2 9401/9501).

- To update your firmware version use the updater tool
- To load setting add keys you may use pobedit tool.
- F3k is the key file extension you need.

Once opened a f3k (http://www.sat-universe.com/showthread.php?t=85848&page=4) file by using pobedit you can insert biss by omitting the fourth and the eight byte as shown here (http://www.sat-universe.com/showthread.php?t=79191) so for example 11 22 33 44 55 66 77 88 became 11 22 33 55 66 77, then repeat it in key1 and key2, save and send.

Download the latest tools and firmware (http://www.sat-universe.com/showthread.php?t=56456) versions for your stb.

I'm just today received my 730 and in the instruction guide is not mentioned how to update. Do I have to input the ird.file in the 730 ?
Is there software for the PC to change channels, favorites etc. and to upload it to the 730 ?

I'm a newbie to the whole satellite scene and trying to get my head round all of this. Would someone be so kind as to point out where I'm going wrong/what steps(s) I'm missing? :confused:

Openbox X-800 with fixed 60cm mini-dish at 19.2E (for analogue reception of Eurosport)

I can flash the firmware with little effort and having tried 5.46, I'm currently on 5.41. Once flashed, I re-initialise the STB, Menu 1117 Emulation On and scan in Astra channels.

I load up pobedit 922 and download the channel list & keys.
I open the latest keys (28-11-08 at time of writing) and send them to the STB.
Then Menu 1117 Viaccess Reset.
Put the box in Standby and turn back on. Tuning to France 4/5 but shows as scrambled. :confused:

In one instance (of trying firmware/keys) I did get access to ORF 1&2 but not at present. :mecry:

I'm hoping to receive Eurosport (English), Discovery, Nat. Geo and possibly MTV - do I have any hope?

All you've done right except one - why you reset viaccess keys once you send to STB fresh latest keys - all gone no need.For the future once you installed new firmware you re-initialise the STB like you did which is right the send to STB saved channel list and fresh keys you can get from here http://www.sat-universe.com/showthread.php?t=85848&page=5 there always this guy put on latest keys - and dont reset the keys,then Emulation on ON mode.
Fore the moment nothing to watch on EMU on 19* except some channels on criptoworks.Only sending each time keys getting from the post that I gave.

Because MotoGP has finished for this season, I have turned off the analogue receiver and moved the dish to 13E. I can now receive ESP2 :-D but only sound for ESP - I assume it is because of an incorrect key?

Would still like to get Nat Geo., Animal Planet & History, if possible.

I'm awaiting a motor soon, so will be able to explore more satellites :-)

Same to all of us what you watch Cyfrowy Polsat 13* package on nagra 2 but they had moved to nagra 3 already most of the channels - be updated http://www.sat-universe.com/showthread.php?t=88987&page=8.
But you can watch on EMU the Digi TV package on Thor 3/5 @ 1° West - what you can get is a good choice for the moment.

Are you sure that the com port on the PC has been assigned as COM1 and not, maybe COM2? If using a USB dongle then you need to manually assign a port - mine was COM10 but now set to COM4.

We use program POBEdit.
We try to accept keys from Openbox.
Changing Com the port - is found the correct.

i see many new firmware for the other openboxes like 500 and pvr versions but the 800 is the last one 5.46 ?? and other are allready au again on 1 west but the openbox 800 if you want to watch 1 west (digitv) then u need to go back to older fw like 5,14 with no AU on nagra or am i looking on the wrong forums for my "new F/W"

1. Menu: 1117
2. Nagra, are on the ID 2111 and remove it.
3. Push the green button and create a new provider with the same Id 2111
4. Create key 00) and 10), and introduce a working key!
