This is not emulator, just config and key files for mgcamd.

If it is like on dm7000 gemini has scripts in /var/script which determine what emu is displayed in blue panel.

I've put the file mgcamd_1.18_070111.tar.bz2 into the directory var/tmp/ftp/in

After i select by blue pannel this file ( Addons - Manual Install - Addons Tar.bz2 - ftp / in - mgcamd_1.18_070111.tar.bz2 ) OK

Db answer: addon install succesfull

BUT THIS NEW EMU IS NOT PRESENT IN THE LIST OF THE AVAILABLE EMU INTO THE BLUE PANNEL : WHY WHY WHY WHY ?????????????????

Its also for 7025. In gemini image it is already in download from server (if you are having trouble installing manually). Go to addons - download and install - cam. Download it from there. If you never installed Mgcamd go also to cam config and download mgcamd config.

You just put mgcamd.ppc in /var/bin and rename it to just mgcamd.
It depends on an image what you have to edit to have it shown in menu.
If you already have old version of mgcamd installed just rename new one to the same name as the old and overwrite it. It will still show old version in menu but that doesn't matter it will use new version.
It doesn't seem to work properly. AU only picks up encrypted key which then has to be decrypted with another tool. So it is not a real AU, unless I tried with wrong keys.

You can use mgcamd.ppc for dreambox 500. You can just rename it and overwrite your old version in /var/bin

It was working fine last night. I guess tps people changed something again.
It creates tps.au but reports error that rsa keys are not found.
As for tar.bz2 install, it does nothing more but unpack the files from tarball to given location. You can do the same by uploading file via ftp to your dreambox. Locations are known and files needed are in the zip.

Tested and works :)

For dreambox you have to rename the file mgcamd.ppc to match EXACTLY the name of the file you have in your var/bin of dreambox (eg. rename it to mgcamd_1.20 if you have that file in var/bin). So you overwrite file and restart cam from blue panel. Tune in to France 5 and enjoy :)

there is you a person who can explain me procedure to install the mgcamd 1.22, me am put to her in the directory tmp install successfully but always nothing has the screen and it with the bin of day. Thank you in advance for the help which you will be able to bring me.

You have to put the SoftCam.Key and tps.bin in /var/keys :)

On this channel MTV ESP,Nickelodeon ESP, and VH1. in Astra 19.2E-11739V is active new id 4102.......for now working with this key

it is a modified Mgcamd 1.22 Emu in which (prov: 4102 )

been added in offset=11D56

I have tried this file for 7025.

It does not work, and I think is not the correct version for my processor.
Can I get anywhere 7025 of mgcamd version working with 4102?

When I change EMU from Common interface to Mgcamd and Retstart cam my DM500 works OK. But when I power off from mains the box always retart on Commonon Interface. Any ideas on how to setup to retart eveytime with Mgcamd? Thanks.

When you remove plug from mains, dreambox always reboots from settings of last reboot. So before you plug it off from mains do a reboot of dreambox (shutdown from remote control) with emu on Mgcamd.

You have to be on a specific frequency to get AU. And that is:

Yes, you just wait on that channel for few seconds. If everything is right it shouldn't take any longer then that. You should restart your dreambox before trying it out, if you haven't restarted at all after installing mgcamd. You might need to edit mg_cfg to enable tps au as suggested in above post by sugernspice. I don't know what config is set to by default in package nabilo image downloads.

First of all, make you have no previous tps.au file in /var/keys. You thenneed to edit the mg_cfg file that you find in /var/keys and set U: {04}. Then, start mgcamd on any channel on tp 10873V, such as France5 or Ushuaia or M6 Music Rock.
It will not take longer than 2/3 seconds.
Personally tested on Nabilo image and it works a treat.

MCT works 100%
you must edit some files before starting to enjoy! ;)

--> insert the MCT keys into softcam file (I 628 06 E9EB.... )
--> insert into priority list (X: { 06 28 })
--> check Mgcamd.cfg: (U:{4} ) to get TPS A/U!

MCT & RedLight work fine but even skylink, i've just tested it. Everything is fine.

I noticed that the channels with ID N4102 MTV ESP, VH1 ... do not clear with mgcamd1.24 but they did with 1.22! :eek:

but ok with evocamd1.15! :)
